Why go out of your comfort zone?

“If it scares you, it might be a good thing to try.”

Traveling and exploring out of you comfort zone can bring you so much personal growth. It can introduce you to new experiences and challenges.

Without these new challenges and learning experiences how are you suppose to grow? How are you suppose to learn new things about yourself?

This video from Steve Harvey talks a lot about getting yourself up and out of bed to try new things. “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”

Trying new things out of your comfort zone can be hard, believe me, I know what it feels like. That first step will always be fearful and daunting, but pushing these boundaries can bring you new beginnings.

Do you really want to look back on your life and say that you never went out of your comfort zone and tried something new or scary?

Some ways you can step out of your comfort zone while traveling would be…

  1. Trying a crazy foreign food.
  2. Go bungee jumping, sky diving, surfing, some extreme sport that you never thought you would do.
  3. Talk to as many people as you can, even people who don’t speak your language.
  4. Don’t follow the tourists, find a hidden path or road, and explore it!
  5. Lastly, don’t take the easy option.

Expand your horizons and learn different ways of culture and living.
